CitiLink Broadband Solutions has identified most communities outside greater metropolitan cores lack competitively priced voice & data services along with having limited product offerings. Lack of competition, high capital investment costs, combined with a smaller number of users has resulted in the higher rates customers have traditionally paid. Many cable and telecommunication companies must justify the large infrastructure investment to deliver the broadband requirements of today’s business. This has prevented many communities to have access to reasonably priced, high-speed internet and leading edge telephone service. Lack of competition has not only kept prices for these services high, but also limited in scope.
