Our redundant connections are available either as an alternate path to your current provider or as a CitiLink High Availability Connection.
Redundant Connection
CitiLink offers a 99.99% up-time guarantee as a main or alternate path. Depending on your needs, CitiLink will deploy the redundant service as a fail-over connection if your current provider’s network connection goes down, or you may use the redundant connection as an active backup and benefit from the additional bandwidth. In either case, your IT department would need to implement a switch or load balancing equipment to integrate the two connections.
High Availability Connection
CitiLink is able to offer a 99.99% up-time guarantee by deploying a full second set of equipment at the customer’s location. In doing this, we are eliminating the only non-redundant portion of our connection and virtually become our own diverse connection. This service is a premium connection and will incur an additional monthly charge.
